Crazy Macbook sparks when connecting into DJM S9 Mixer

Hi /DJs,

I know this isn't some DJ tech forum, but people have been very helpful here to me which is why I always keep coming back here.

I have this very particular issue where I couldn't find with a simple google search. It seems that I am unable to properly charge my Macbook Pro (2012 13 inch) while I have my DJM S9 Mixer connected. Here are the issues I am having and am wondering if anybody here had the same problem:

1. While my laptop is currently charging, if I try connecting my mixer cable into the usb port of the Macbook, there are sparks that fly out of the port. This really makes me feel suspicious about what the hell is going on.
2. The workaround to this is if I connect my Mixer to the laptop USB port first and then the mixer, this is fine but then my Macbook won't charge.

I think the issue has to do with power and how it is allocated properly. I'm not sure if this may help, but I am currently using a Macbook charger that I bought off Amazon (chinese knockoff probably).

** UPDATE **

It worked! I just received my Macbook Charger and I don't see sparks coming out while connecting my DJM s9 Mixer. Also the Macbook is charging while I'm using the Mixer as well. Thank you all for your insights as always!
