Someone pretended they live at my house and stole a package.
I ordered a bed frame from Amazon and today it said it was delivered. I talked to Amazon and they said it was signed for and everything. I checked with everyone in the house to see if they signed for it and I even checked with my left and right neighbors. Nobody did it. Amazon said they would contact UPS and see what happened. I’m waiting to hear back from them.
The bed frame was $300 and it was a pretty big box. I called UPS myself and they said that somebody that was in my driveway signed my name (the name that was clear as day on the package) and took it. They told me they would talk to Amazon. So it seems like I’m just
I ended up going across the street to ask my other neighbor if I could look at any footage they might’ve got with their doorbell camera. Luckily, they did. I have a copy of a car pulling up to the side of the street in front of my house and talking to the UPS deliverer. There’s no audio but long story short, the video shows the person signing something and then getting handed the package. The delivery driver drives off and the guy stays in front of my house for a few minutes and then puts the package in his car and left.
Is this Amazon’s fault? UPS’s fault? My fault? What should I do? I called UPS and they said they would look into it. I have yet to hear back from either of them but this just happened today so I expect it’ll take a few days regardless. I have a feeling either of them will just say I’m out of luck or try to give me only a partial refund
