Passed SAA-CO1 using Acloudguru and Tutorials Dojo
Passed the exam today.
A little background I've been using AWS for 3 years, I am working heavily with EC2, VPC, S3 and RDS daily at work. For my preparation I used ACloudguru and Jon Bonso/Tutorials Dojo and nothing else. These two courses are great prep materials to passed the Solutions Architect Exam.
I went through the 2019 course and every ACloudguru videos and sped it up to 1.5. Whenever I got a wrong answer in the practice exam, I go straight to the reference links provided in the explanation which is the the AWS documentation since they have lots of rich information and also the Tutorials Dojo Cheat Sheets since it helped me a lot in eliminating tricky options in the exam.
Topics covered that I can remember:
S3, Security, NLB, RDS Multi-AZ vs Read Replicas, VPC, EBS EC2, EFS, AutoScaling, ECS, Elasticache, Cloudfront, Route53, Cognito, Cloudwatch, Redshift, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS and SNS
Tips before you schedule for the exam:
- Give a lot of time studying ACloudguru course, do all the labs a couple of times
- Make sure you score around 80-90% on practice exams If you are scoring around 50-60-70% you are NOT YET READY
- Make sure to have read all the explanations thoroughly as it will help you get a good grasp on the AWS services covered in the exam.
- Work and focus on your weak areas that need improvement.
- Read all the Whitepapers and FAQ's
- Read the Q&A's and the feedback because it helped you see the current topics on the exam and the helpful tips shared.
That's it and All the best to everyone!
