Zac will need more than just his Ult reverted to bring back his fun playstyle
The Zac rework caused a lot of issues for Zac, and many of the people who regularly played him stopped. It removed a lot of versatility and freedom in his kit in exchange for raw CC.
Riot has realized that this has made Zac good in pro play while more weak for the most other players so they are reverting his ult.
However, this won't solve Zac's problems. Take a look at this old Zac montage.. Notice that only by constantly picking up every single available blob while moving around the fight can Zac stay alive. With Zac's new Q, this would not be possible. Zac has to cast the ability, auto, and then he gets rooted for .5 seconds while he slams the targets together. It can actually take over 1.5 seconds to fully cast sometimes. It completely kills the flow of what is supposed to be one of the most movement reliant tanks.
I think if Riot wants to solve the problems of the Zac rework, they should go all out and simply revert him. Zac was already one of the most popular and balanced tanks at the time, I feel like reverting only the ult could possibly leave him in an even worse state for another 2 years until he gets attention again.

Hi, thanks for showing my montage. I feel like it represents what people miss about the old Zac. His mobility and how fluid everything felt was key. The ult revert is a step in the right direction, but he’ll need a q revert and a revert on the e nerf to be able to make plays like that.
