Mucinex, Candida killer?

I have had a terrible cold. My doctor recommended 12 hour Mucinex (box says it thins mucus).

I noticed a secondary effect, I think. It kills Candida. I know this because of a stool check (don’t worry, I won’t post a picture lol)

While I was taking my two doses yesterday, I felt hella ill. Nausea, general weakness worse than original cold. But I figured this was die-off now that I think about it today.

I would really really appreciate anybody’s opinions on this. Mucinex worked better than fluconazole!
