Cisco SX20 etc control help needed, dongle bad

The company I work for mostly do Polycom, but occasionally an SX20 will crop up. What do AV reddit use for control? We are using USB to serial dongles however they are not relaible, and can half stop (only pass one way) or fully stop working at any moment.

Hoping there is a good alternative or a recommended brand. The only way forward I can think of is to use the control subnet port we have on the Crestron kit already installed, which is a solution that also has plenty of potential problems.
