"confirmation bias dictates that an individual accept/accepts information..."

which "accept" is correct ???? am i using subjunctive or something like that??? i put accept on my paper but my professor marked it off and didn't explain what was wrong with it. i thought if you're using a verb like this (after a "that") it becomes a different form of conjugation which is different from the indicative third person -s. am i making this up
