UV-5R + adapter for headphones - still won't work

Apologies if posting in the wrong area - completely new to this...

I bought the UV-5R and the following adapter to use a pair of regular headphones, but no audio will come through the headphones - using a pair of Shure SE215's.

Is there a setting I need to change to get audio only? Not interesting in broadcasting, just listening.
