1975 Mercury 110 9.8 Carburetor is dumping fuel
Ive had this motor about two years. I noticed that the carb was leaking fuel out of the front (venturi?) when trying to get her started giving the rope a couple yanks with the choke pulled. So I cleaned and rebuilt the carb. Then I broke that carb beyond repair when I was putting it back together. So I ordered a new one off ebay, cleaned and rebuilt that, and the same damn thing keeps happening. Fuel gushes out the front, but only when starting and if I stop the engine by pulling the choke. Any suggestions? Theres a new float needle in there and I adjusted the float to within specifications. As far as I can tell it is the original float. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
