Is lifetime Bumble Boost for $140 worth it?

Kicking it around, seems to be one of the few online dating outlets that's decent anymore, wondering if anyone else felt this was good value? Ideally Ms right is around the corner but well...I'm old.

one month is $25, so it's about six months to make it back

if I were just looking to fuck around for the next few years I might do it. if you're looking to find your long term person, maybe not.

You aren't going to meet her in Philly, sorry dude. Waste of money. You'd have much better luck in Wyoming, West Virginia or Alabama, they have tons of women that love Trump and guns and hating on gay people.

Have you been to any of those states? they have tons of women that are the complete opposite of what you describe.

edit: but I agree about not meeting women in philly.

Those are the states with the highest percentage of Trump approval ratings and are not well known for gay rights or shying away from guns. I only spent like a minute googling though

I should have made it more clear - those states also DO have exactly what you described. I just woke up. I don't know why I was so defensive and disagreeable.

Oh, it's all good dude. If OP is having a hard time it likely has a lot to do with where he is and if I can get him to move by convincing him he'll have a better time somewhere else, I'll have done my Philly good deed for the day

But I have nothing against gay people.

Guns and Trump are 👌 tho

Who’s hating on gay people?

What are your thoughts on Kingdom Hearts 3?

That it was a pretty big let down?

Fully agree, I don't see why they let one of their biggest IPs drift to Osaka. I give up on that organization as a whole, square isn't what it was.

I’d argue that no amount of money thrown at these apps makes anything easier.

Bumble boost doesn't seem to make much difference to me.

Spotlight does when I'm in the right location, but you need to buy 'coins' for that.

I have been considering it too - I have probably already spent half of that amount going back and forth subscribed to not subscribed. I meet good people on Bumble here, though the date percentage is lower.

As someone who rarely pays for dating apps, I think Bumble is the one place where I really like it mostly based on time savings. However anything longer than a week ($9.95)is a waste of money IMO. The trick is to create a fresh account, and sign up for the one week boost right away(and remember to cancel before the week is up). You will pretty much see and be seen by everyone in that one week and see your likes so you don't waste too much time swiping. I actually got 7 dates(that I went on in the course of 6 weeks) from a one week boost. This is way better stats than other sites where I have wasted a lot more time trying to interact with people not actually interested in meeting me.

I did the month once, but after a week or so the only new people are new users and tourists coming into town...at least that has been my experience. Everything pretty much dries up.

I also delete my account when I am burned out and start fresh a few months later. But careful, I understand Bumble frowns upon people who do this too frequently and puts you at the bottom of the pile so to speak.

Thanks, this is pretty much what I was thinking.

That’s a lot of daily matches. Why would you want the premium access??

I have better things to do and would rather see them all at once

I have paid bumble and this is exactly what I like about it. No swiping and seeing if I will match with someone, no waking up to 10 new matches I don’t have time to chat with because I was on a swiping binge the night before. I check my beeline, and if I’m in the mood to match, pick someone to match with and send a message. I like having that control and rarely add more than a couple new matches at a time. It keeps it manageable and also makes me be thoughtful about who I choose to match with.

Obviously a bit different with you being unable to send the first message, but I would still highly recommend it. I also snooze my account for long stretches of time whenever my beeline is pretty full, and just focus on matching with or left-swiping those men who’ve already liked me. I then un-snooze when the number of interesting guys in my beeline gets low and current matches have run their course. This puts a stop to the “smorgasbord” mentality I think some users (myself included) can fall prey to. It forces me to consider each person a bit more thoughtfully, and focus on quality of matches over quantity.

Seems to have worked (knock wood) as I met and have been dating a great guy for a while now. 🤞
