I'll admit I'm a fucking snowflake where animals are concerned and I don't think I can take watching this unless I know the orangutan was safe. Was it safe?
Also, fuck palm oil.
Yeah I can’t watch it either.
It wasn’t killed, and the people seemed actively trying to protect it from the direct consequences of felling the tree. I don’t know if the people were the logging workers, or from the rescue organization, though the guy in the bulldozer was complying when they told him to stop, or move away from the orangutan.
Thanks, I hate it....
My bio teacher showed us this in class today. That is so horrible.
I had seen the on IG. I had commented how can I help or contribute . And the reply “STOP USING PRODUCTS WITH PALM OIL”.
That’s true, but these sort of thing is happening all over the world, not just with the palm tree forests. Look into how to help.
Your wallet is one of the biggest factors. Don’t buy what you don’t support. And find ways to actively help the earth
Electric cars, sustainable food, planting trees and flowering plants etc, all help.
Everyone thinks one person doesn’t make a difference but that’s just wrong, it only takes one pebble to make ripples across the entire pond.
They better replant those fucking trees. What you take from the Earth, you must put back, otherwise the balance will be disturbed.
They will... with palm oil trees, which does nothing for the orangutans. They’re deforesting the rainforests of Borneo to install palm oil plantations.
So then technically they are still disrupting the balance... such greedy beings.
Thank you for posting.

Humans are terrible. Imagine if aliens came and bulldozed ur fucking house to take the materials back to their planet. Help us Tom Cruise
This is so sad.... I hope a tree falls on their noggin. Insta karma... poor beautiful animals. I will check ingredients before buying food for palm oil.

It’s so hard to. A lot of companies have obscured their ingredients list because this is such a hot-button issue now. They call it “vegetable oil” now. And, by collectively boycotting palm oil, we’ll just make companies shift to another oil and destroy another habitat.
Instead, cook. Bake. Don’t buy packaged crackers, donuts, frozen meals or canned soups. Buy real vegetables, flour (or better yet, wheat berries and grind your own flour, but I’m a HUGE hippy, so ymmv), make your own broths and soups.
We assume that cooking is easy or convenient because we can sit down at a restaurant and get our meal inside forty minutes, or pour out a can of beans and call it chili. But, historically, cooking -and sourcing- food has been one of the most labor-intensive and expensive tasks humans have had to do for their survival. If we chose to live a lifestyle that acknowledges our nutrition is a difficult, resource-consuming, vital task, then we’ll all be one step closer to aligning with nature.
