Usopp and his potential

Usopp actually has a lot of potential in this series. He had a lot of potential since Alabasta. He’s the buggy of the Straw Hats and they both have a lot potential. But have you realised the people Usopp has recently defeated?

Perona - can make you feel negative and worthless therefore she can easily manipulate you.

Sugar (OP fruit) - Can turn you into a toy, have you under her control and everyone’s memory of you disappears, all with the touch of her hand.

Not canon: Baccarat (OP fruit) - has luck on her side, controls your luck. This one doesn’t mean much but thought I’d put it here.

Usopp in Water 7 was too weak to stand up to the Franky Family and he was disappointed in himself. In Enies Lobby, his number one priority was his friend Robin and he didn’t even think about his strength. He went to lengths of fighting alongside with the rest of the crew who he parted from and disgused himself. Remember his speech to Luffy? That was him in his mind mentally before Enies Lobby. He pushed himself back up and fought for his friend.

Usopp has been in the situation of backing his friend up and overcoming the opponent two times.

Enies Lobby

In water 7 he wasn’t able to stand against the opponents. This was because of his strength and even though it was for Merry he wasn’t against someone who doubted Luffy’s dream or was gonna kill Robin. He still had hope for Merry and believed in her without the money.

We also see the contrast of Usopp being a “coward” but when it gets to the last straw he’ll do the opposite. He even says in Wano that he would tell the people about the plan if he was getting tortured.

I think Oda is planning something for Usopp. He’s gonna get his arc.

Sanji got his in WCI.

Zoro is getting his in Wano.

Robin got hers in Enies Lobby.

Usopp will get his in Elbaf.

I think that he’ll get his arc in the next arc. He’ll get stronger, he’ll actually become a brave warrior (he already is but not fully). I still think he’ll be scared of some stuff and he’ll be the same Usopp, but after Elbaf he’ll be a brave warrior who won’t flinch from an admiral. Maybe we’ll get a timeskip adter Wano because of the extreme heights the SH take to defeat Kaido and rethink their strength once again. Heck, they might not even defeat him. I think a timeskip would take place after Wano so then the SH get stronger, especially Usopp. They’ll be facing stronger opponents, then after Slbad Usopp would be stronger and he would need the timeskip to actually develop his strength mentally and physically, with Elbaf icing the cake, that’s why I said he won’t even flinch from an admiral. Even if he isn’t strong enough. I made another theory on Usopp and his development to support the idea of him facing stronger less fodder opponents. You should read it before continuing. here

After you read that theory, this can show a possibility of him standing up to an admiral and actually fighting them. When/if he fights an admiral would be near the end of the series. There’s also another theory (not by me) that explains the conflict of him between an admiral, I’m not 100% sure on the “killed” part though. here
