Is it worth it to buy an old Mustang 1970 ish and mod it with new pieces and how expensive it would be to do so?

I love classic cars and i was thinking about buying a Cadillac 2015 but saw some old Mustangs and it definitely called my attention and i was wondering how expensive would be to mod one with modern parts like a new gearbox and some other parts
