90 year olds have lived through the Great Depression, Dust Bowls, a World War, the Cold War, the Space Race, the Civil Rights Movement, 9 Constitutional Amendments, and now - Endgame.

Dont forget surviving the snap
I got flair to prove that
If they’re 90 it IS the endgame for them
Unless your my grandpa and talk about dying-then just keep on living 😂
I’d love to but I’m very existential, it’s both a blessing and a curse, not doubting or anything but two wives as well!
Same here..but my grandpas like ‘I only have a short time to live-oh woe is me (he’s pretty narcissistic) and like he’s outlived two of his past wives. Oh and a colonoscopy!
I’ve been told old people don’t care about death or at least not too much, my dad certainly doesn’t
Unless they die in the next four days
Shit, I’m trying not to die in the next four days. We all have 4 days not to die.
Just checking in, are you still with us?
No! You’re making me nervous! I’m also kinda sick right now. So that doesn’t make it any better...
My grandfather is 100 years old and participated in the WW2 for Brazil (and lived in the dictatorship here in 1964)
Congratulations on 100! He have any cool stories?
Has heart attack in movie theatre.
Dies right before on the 24th.
They are in the Endgame now
My grandpa is 90 and I can confirm he's lived through all of this
I don’t think you need to confirm that unless your grandpa is a time traveller from the future
Queen Elizabeth cough cough
At the same time, just because a person lived at the same time, doesn't mean they experienced those things in a personal way.
Lots of people avoided impacts of certain events and may have felt other lesser events more impactful on their own lives.
half of them, at least.
Don’t forget that one of them is Queen Elizabeth II.
My 90 year old uncle died last Thursday.
Sorry to hear that. You have a favorite memory?
coolio
Wait a minute
The end is near...

My Grandpa is 94. He acts like he’s 30. Super up n’ at em. He just trades stocks all day and cares for my grandma. Super cool guy!
He just sits in his rocking chair on investing apps, or what?
Honestly I haven’t seen his portfolio, all I know is that he earns some serious cash.
gma is 100. She is from a small town so she saw the horse and buggy get replaced by the model T and even electricity first come to town.
My Grandmother told stories about seeing people like Ma Barker and her sons, mafia in her neighborhood of Chicago. Crazy stuff.
I think you mean 8 amendments, unless I'm missing something?
This is what I went off of. I counted from the 1920 ratified date.
That's what I went off of too, but someone who is 90 years old now wouldn't have been alive in 1920.
You are correct. I think I had my Grandmother's birth year of 1920 stuck in my head. She's obviously not 90 either. I should have done 90+ year olds. Good catch.
My late great-grandmother lived to 98 years old. She married a smuggler in small Portuguese town near the border with Spain and they together ran a tavern that served as a front to his schemes. During a time in the early 20th century when women didnt even had the right to own property she had her own business and full grown man would politly ask her to conduct business with them, selling them ilegal booze and grain. She lived trough the First and Second World War, she sheltered spanish communists during the Spanish Civil War and defied the order to sell local mineral exposts only to the Nazi government acting as a partner to British spies in Portugal helping to fight a war my country was trying its best to remain neutral. She witnessed the change of my country going trough a monarchy to a republic, and then to a full dictatorship. She witness a pacific military coup that housted a repressive government using flowers. She was so respected that she was asked multiple times to solve local disputes, she was paid by this services mostly in land and by the end of her life she owned more than half the pastures of the region. She witnessd the transition from horses to automobiles, changing from candles to electricity, wood ovens to gas stoves, having to salt your food to having a freezer. She alone did all of this raising 8 children without much help, or even knowing how to read or write. And to this day this women is one of the top inspirations of my life. I had the privilege to spending most of my childhood with her, listening to her stories and knowing that the only thing she kinda "regreted" was her children decision to have a legal life, not knowing how better it was for her

American 90-year-olds*
My great-grandpa’s actually 95 and has indeed lived through all this. WW2 vet, and completely sane to top it off! He’s awesome.
We have a 95 year old in our area that got to be honored at a Mariners game last year. He's amazing. Still has great physical abilities, drives himself every where too. Works on his old cars.
There is my neighbor, who just clocked(yes, he said it himself) 106 years old. Still capable of driving and has great communication and motor skills. If you couldn’t see him you might think he was 70/80 years old and the entire community loves him
I knew a guy like this too. He unfortunately died from a minor infection and due to his age couldn't have a surgery. The guy looked 70, his nephews at 70, looked 50. He was 106 and did everything. Great genes.
There was a guy at my church who was a WWII honored at a Mariners game and he was exactly as you described. He unfortunately died 2 years ago. Art Shipe.
That's awesome. Was he able to throw the first pitch or go out in the 4th inning as they honored Veterans?
He was out in the 4th inning on the field. He was an incredibly interesting man. Rear gunner on a navy plane.
And younger people nowadays complain about everything even though they haven’t experienced shit.
I don’t really know which sub would best fit you so I’ll go with r/lewronggeneration
