[EDFIR] V1.05+ Faster money than the 'FASTEST Money Farm'
Tldr: video. 193~242k money in less than 2min mission time
__
I saw a video on youtube uploaded by a japanese player with a strategy for disaster mission 52that allows one to get a B, A or AA rank by using a turret for killing trash mobs and was extremely fast. Credits goes to kamo_com@youtube.
In this video the player recommends when you can attack and when the boss changes phases; the player explains how this battle is extremely scripted.
__
Items and gear required
- AA-rank Galileo II (unlocked by killing 200 mystic spiders)
- RF-ENH Sorcery Field (Mission 13 hard according to the atwiki, might be wrong and I don't remember). You only need 2 but 3 is a fail safe when your timing is off and costs just 600 more.
- OW-Multi Sentry Gun Z. Don't know where to unlock. Other sentries might also work but will most probably affect your reward.
Timings in all videos in this post are based on the japanese voice track. This is unconfirmed, but having a different voice language might or might not change timings due to the boss cinematics being scripted. __
After trying to do a couple of runs his way I found out this way is unreliable due to the random nature of the boss moving and the missile going crazy. I can get a time of less than 2 minutes every 2~3 times this way, often requiring another half a minute. With my fastest slightly modified unreliable run clocking in at 1:46
Observations
-
Missiles are fast when spawning in the stage, but slows down by a lot when getting near the red target or when correcting its course.
-
Depending on when you hit the boss with missiles, the boss will or will not spawn larvae, or will delay this
-
Missiles will end up circling mid-air if the boss moved around too much and the red target isn't directly painted on the boss.
-
You can skip the first phase if both missiles hit the boss before the green pillars zaps the boss.
- This doesn't work when you're too slow or too fast, depending on who is currently talking on the comms, even if both missiles hit before the zapping, meaning you wasted 1 or 2 missiles.
-
During the 2nd phase, depending on when you launch your missiles the boss will delay larvae spawns
__
Because I was bored I tried various ways to reduce the amount of randomness in kamo_com's strategy and ended up with this more reliable version instead, having a guaranteed time of less than 2 minutes and all runs being pretty much exactly the same.
-
By aiming the missile directly at the ground below the boss you get maximum acceleration, if you spawn in and do this you're guaranteed to skip the plasma zap phase but you will be missing out on larvae spawns. You'll know you did this right when you hear Mike talking about the 2nd hivecraft spawning in.
-
For some reason pointing at the bottom pointy will ruin this phase, even though the timing is almost exactly the same and both missiles hitting before the green zap, forcing you to wait for the zapping and use another missile or 2.
-
kamo_com recommends firing your second batch of missiles when Victoria starts talking, but because we didn't get any larvae spawns earlier we're jeopardizing our rank and reward. Doing it when she's talking will make the larvae spawn in way too late.
-
It's better to fire your missiles the moment you hear the commander talking and again, aim directly below the boss.
-
You use your 3rd batch of missiles when you hear the radio go beep when the boss is charging an energy ball and aim them at the boss' chest.
-
Missiles hitting too early or late might make 1 missile not count. kamo_com's timing is easy and safe here.
-
While kamo_com explains using overdrive is to speed up weapon recharge, this is actually a moot point. While it is true using an overdrive is good for you at this point, it's just not for that reason. You're using overdrive to possibly raise your technical score gained by kills during OD.
-
Depending on the amount of gems spawned and collected, you'll end up with either 196k, 220k or 245k minus 3k'ish per 2 minute run
