Some things I have learned so far.

I have started doing beadsprites last year and wanted to share a few things that others might benefit from.

  1. Use the tape method, if you don't want your boards/projects to be ruined. Also poke holes after taping your projects ( you can use a second pegboard for that) so the heat can escape through the holes when you iron them. If you aren't convinced to tape yet, let me inspired you: https://www.reddit.com/r/beadsprites/comments/b1s67e/goodbye_jolly_roger/
  2. Don't try to shade if you don't have the colours. Just go with one colour instead. What do I mean by that? https://i.redd.it/c0jccbui91v21.jpg <--- this is pretty bad shading & it would have looked a lot better if I just used one blue.
    1. If you are completely new and don't know what to do, here is a solid guide for beginners: https://www.reddit.com/r/beadsprites/comments/fatft/faq_beadsprites_101/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb&_branch_match_id=632552459922679738

I hope this is helpful for some of you :)

I’m very new to the game and have only ever used the masking tape method and have had no real drama at all and all turns out well. I only ever rarely have maybe 1 head that doesn’t stick.... but my designs all fit on 1 or 2 boards. Punching holes with the pegboard into the tape is the quickest approach. Just make sure not to put too much pressure on 1 spot when pushing down or you can crack your boards. I did that on my 2nd try and now I’m more cautious and spread out my weight when pushing down.

Good tips

Not having the colors and still trying to shade is usually what messes some of mine up.

These are great tips, I just started messing with these and I'm sure they will come in handy once I finish my first project

You finish your pattern and then cover it all with masking tape. That way you remove it from the board and then iron like normal. It helps hold it together and also doesn't ruin your pegboards with heat from the iron.
