What are some tourist traps I should avoid?

The old one is five years old. http://www.reddit.com/r/AskNYC/comments/1hwvxz/what_are_some_tourist_traps_i_should_avoid/

What are some modern tourist traps?

Edit: If you can share some ideas of good/updated answers to this question. Lemme know.

I'm not actually a tourist.

We're a little all over the place with this one. So I think we're gonna leave this as an open discussion thread attached to the wiki rather than something carved in stone. We'll grab a few tid bits and add 'em
