I just love Pandora.

So I'm on YT, and I decide to try and watch The Witcher 3 end game build video. And I think about how I after spending who know how many hours in that world, killing swamp creatures and fighting the dark elves... I stopped playing before finishing the story. And I was quite near finishing it I think... It just became so incredibly boring. The music makes you think of mother Poland, yearn for snow and a good cup of borscht, and besides some really good dialogues now and then (and amazing voice acting), it's just a drab. I close the video after 2 minutes, realizing I just don't care about that world. "Screw those guys!".

Now, Pandora, and the game you visit it in them (so no TPS sorry mates), is anything but boring. It is teeming with craziness, things to kill, hilarious recordings from various NPCs that just play in the background with subtitles! No need to scroll through pages of made up books. The lore is fun, you can always change your play style with very easy respec and item vendors at any map in a convenient location. Ever since the enhanced version came out I played it for 115 hours. I always find myself excited to come back to Pandora, even if it's just for 15 minutes where I get killed by pt 2.5 enemies with my spongy brick over and over. I doesn't matter if I'm getting killed, as long as it's in the good ol' old haven.

Also gatling guns go to hell.

I did. If anything I like it even less than the main story.

I love Borderlands, and Pandora, as much as the next person on this sub but The Witcher surely isn't drab? Each to their own of course, and everyone has different tastes, but the lore from that game is anything but boring.

It's an amazing world, it's just not as fun gaming wise. It's a story you need to be invested in. Pandora and it's baddies is more "well this guy started shooting you, you will do nothing about it"?

OK, I do agree with that in a way. I love both games a lot, and they are so different.

So the witcher 3 isn't a game for you? That's what I got from this, you don't seem to be the type to care about story in games that much.

No, the Witcher 3 is a masterpiece. It's amazingly built, I'm excited about cyberpunk just little less than BL3. But as much as I enjoyed it, I leveled up, got gear... and it became really boring. The fighting is so monotonous - the spell+combat might felt cool to CD PROJECT RED, but to me it felt like UVHM with few types of slag. Changing the difficulty setting just made the battles longer. It's a good game, and I grew tired of it after maybe 60 hours, to the point I don't care at all what happens in the end. Don't care for any of them. Don't care for Velen or Skelige. And no matter how good the game mechanics are, how polished the game is, if I grow tired of it before reaching the conclusion of the main story, I don't feel like the problem is in me. You can disagree.

Oh I disagree but can't do anything to make you finish the story, hopefully the same thing doesn't happen to you in cyberpunk whenever that gets released, I'm equally excited for that game and BL3, the city we see in BL3 with all that neon instantly makes me think of 2077 and how that game's city will look.
