Sabaton has taken "cactchiness" to whole new level

I haven't listened to Sabaton much since high school, but I've seen them live twice and used to consider myself a fan.

Now I listened to Fields of Verdun when it came out the other day. I listened to it exactly once, thought to myself "this was alright" and then did other things. But yesterday morning, and this morning I woke humming the tune in the refrain (DUH DUH VERDUN, NOWHERE TO RUN, THE BATTLE HAS BEGUN).

I mean, I don't care all much about Sabaton these days, but i'll be damned if Joakim Brodén doesn't know how to write catchy tunes!

Yeah, I got that bit stuck in my head too. Fields of Verdun is threatening to knock Night Witches off the spot for my favourite Sabaton song.

For me its either 1648/union/smoking sneakes/Bismarck, you know what they are all my favourites i just cant decide, everytime i hear a sabaton song i just say "wow, this is their greatest song so far" but my top of top are midway,verdun and 1648

For me it's between Night Witches, Ruina Imperii, Verdun, Resist and Bite or perhaps Panzerkampf. Problem is, I can't choose one, because I think even the 'worst' Sabaton song has its charms.

I know, its so hard cuz they are all so great

And hey- nv lost train of thought after hearing Explosions, living in Israel sure is fun, heard jets earlier so its probably our bois doing work, at least i am a fan of military stuff so seeing jets and explosions are less stressful for me.

This shit happened with Bismarck for me. It was ok at best when i first heard, but the day after i found myself singing it. Strange.

Now waiting for the same thing with Fields of Verdun.

Agreed, first heard it and thought "cheese", watched the Lindy nydell video for context and then the song just fucking POPPED! And the chorus is incredible!
