Vucevic

Discussion

Nothing of note. Just thought I'd create a thread when Embiid has a rough game. Just as that user did when he had one good game, as though its a barometer for us re-signing Vucevic.

But but but he's injured.

It’s all about matchups so this point is moot. Really has no bearing on whether we need to resign Vuc or not.

In anyway I support signing Vuc and trading him later. He’s clearly wanted in the league. Sign him to a good contract and don’t lose him as an asset. We failed to utilize him as one.

That was my point. People trying to twist every event to fit their narrative on what is best to do with Vuc.

I also agree that's probably the way we get the most value out of Vuc

Fuck!!!! When does next season start? I’m going nuts

Please let Vuc walk. Not basing that off his abysmal playoffs either. Let Vuc walk and use that money to sign Brogdon.

You only let Vuc walk if he is unwilling to take a short term deal. The whole goal of the front office right now needs to be taking no long term deal until Fournier and Mozgov's contracts are off the books. If you can get Vuc for a 2 year option he is a perfect stop gap while the club waits to find what it has in Bamba.

Yeah if you can get him for a team friendly deal of course, I just don't like the idea of overpaying the dude it that's what it takes to keep him because we could save or use that money somewhere else more efficient. Everyone thinks I hate vooch because I pointed why he can't be our main offensive player if we ever want to get further than the first round. Embid is still injured and not 100 percent but oh well nice post

He’s not taking a short term anything. He’s already said he wants to get paid. This is his last shot at a mega payday he’s not taking a 2 year deal unless the league has no interest, in which case you’d likely want to ask why.

Where did he say any of that?

in my original post I clearly stated "I'm not comparing vuc to embid" so what is this post for? You have made it your personal vendetta to counter any argument I've said about vooch when I've been mostly agreeing with everyone saying either resign him to a short deal, sign and flip him or let him walk if the price is too high. Everyone after game 1 of embid playing were quick to make joke posts about people criticizing vooch playstyle. Yes he's a great player but his weaknesses can be easier exploited thus he wouldn't be an effective offensive leader for our team. And embid is actually injured playing trying to play his way through the injury. So of course he's not gonna be effective. But games 1 through 3 he still found a way to put up points and not be a complete liability to his team. I understand that if it's something that people don't agree with it's cool to "single them out" or poke fun at them but at the end of the day I just want this team to be back at the top and relevant again.

Don't pay people on this sub too much attention, you say anything they Don't agree with and it's considered "over reactionary" and deserves a downvote 🤦🏿‍♂️. All I ever look at is the future of this team and no matter how you put it vooch is not part of it. People keep saying "it's just five games" but do you not understand the playoffs is in total 28 games (7 game series if necessary), to win a championship. Fewer games / higher intensity. Less room for error. Regular season wins are great that's cool but like Clifford and the front office have stated over and over they want to be more than a 7th seed, they want to actually compete. Clifford most famous quote to date " basketball is about winning in the playoffs" I love this team and what they can do I just don't see us going anywhere if we lock in all our chips being mediocre, unless everyone locks in and improve internally.

The problem is you act like you KNOW we can't go farther in the playoffs while having Vucevic on our team and you don't. No one does.

Nah fam if you looked further within this same post I said "we couldn't go further unless we prove internally" thanks for just commenting just cause you can.

"All I ever look at is the future of this and no matter how you put it Vooch is not a part of it"

That seems rather hopeless to me man.

"And thanks for commenting just cause you can"

Come on man we're both fans here. Just because we disagree about how the team's future doesn't mean we can't be amicable.
