I use NAB Trade.

Is it as simple as entering the otc ticker? Or is there a different process than usual.

Contact Interactive Brokers - They charge 1$ per trade !
Note that they expect a brokerage of $20 a month (so 10 buys and sells a month) or they deduct $20 from the account balance.

Is that the only pre req for australians?

Speculating with a very small % of your holdings is fine.
