[Serious] Who do you think are the top 10 running backs in the NFL right now?
Below is a composite top 30 ranking I made using various online rankings (in full transparency, about half of them were fantasy football rankings since there are very few non-fantasy rankings available right now for the 2019 season):
| Rank | Player |
|---|---|
Todd Gurley
Ezekiel Elliott
Alvin Kamara
Saquon Barkley
Melvin Gordon
Christian McCaffrey
David Johnson
Le'Veon Bell
Leonard Fournette
Joe Mixon
Mark Ingram
James Conner
Jordan Howard
Devonta Freeman
Nick Chubb
LeSean McCoy
Derrick Henry
Aaron Jones
James White
Tevin Coleman
Phillip Lindsay
Dalvin Cook
Lamar Miller
Chris Carson
Sony Michel
Josh Jacobs
Marlon Mack
Tarik Cohen
Adrian Peterson
Kareem Hunt
Rank your top running backs (no more than 10) and I will use those rankings to come up with a r/nfl average ranking (10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc.), so feel free to only list your top 5 or so if that's all you feel comfortable with. If you list any RB not on the top 30 listed above, please give a reason why.
Note: as a reminder, the list above is just to establish a top 30 in a very broad order. There are obviously going to be some borderline top 25 RBs that were left off this list, but if you feel a top 10 RB was left off, please include him in your list, and explain why you think he's top 10.
