I had applied to 9 Universities and had heard back from 8 of them with the usual response that they were deeply regretted that they couldn't offer me a seat. So 8 straight rejections, you already know what it can do to a person. I stopped hoping for anything, since it was so late already, there was no point.
At this point of time, I was already being questioned by my friends and colleagues on my school choices and why I didn't apply to more safer schools. I didn't really have an answer except that I thought I deserved those Universities.
I'm the kind of a person that doesn't get too happy when something good happens and try to maintain a neutral outlook partly because of the fear that it might jinx it.
But today, I finally heard back from my last University and I just couldn't stop smiling. I don't know but quite frankly, I don't even remember feeling this happy in a long time now.
I don't think there is any point or a takeaway from this post. I simply wanted to share my feelings.
Thank you for reading this.
