I bet each god has access to the afterlife waystation place and can build their own heaven or hell and can keep people in it. Maybe rooms like that bowling room the hedges were in; almost like waiting rooms. Maybe Reynard built a hell room in which he could trap the souls of those he kills? Who knows but it makes enough sense and is a really interesting way to think about it imho.

Plus it feels like it gives her a chance to escape. I don't like that her afterlife was horrible.

That’s unfortunately probably true :( I was sort of hoping hell didn’t exist in their universe, at least not the hell you think of when you say hell, but since it’s all based on the old mythology at heart, it would make sense there is one.

The underworld that they've shown in thus far in this series made me think that there isn't a conventional "hell" either, but then when you take your metropass onto the next life... who knows?
