General "Meta" Unit Guide

Valiant Force punishes making the wrong unit pretty heavily, especially for awk units. This is a guide on what units are considered "meta"/useful atm for endgame content, especially for f2p or budget player.

Non-awk Heroes:

• Diao Chan (SW) - Reach 25k mag on her and get the heal/amp/cd reduce.

• GY (Pala) - Counter unit + onslaught. Awk skill is strong due to last stand added in + more damage.

• Cinderella (MW) - Steadfast utility unit. Becomes much stronger support with awk due to shielding and CD reduction.

• Snow White (AB) - Useful as a cheap aura slave when you are out of other units.

• Trigger Archers - Archers with auras that cause trigger on attack/crit. Examples: Huang Zhong GR, Ash GR, RRH GS, etc...

• Mordred - OP CTF arena hero due to skill. No use outside though.

• There are probably more. Lots of units can be used to get through legendary, but usually you start hitting a wall at masters.

Awk heroes:

• Any DPS Valiant - Shizu, Freya, Kane, and Lucille are the best PVE choices. First three are for damage. Shizu assassin + awk on hit. Freya warlord + awk skill. Kane GR or GS + on spawn or on hit (depending if you want cleanse or atk buff). Lucille is strong reviver and also good for PVP with on spawn/her AW. Treat these as a long term project. Lucille is the most expendable since maya inq or theia awk can sub as a replacement. Freya has fallen out of meta slightly due to many things able to remove her awk atk buff skill.

• Cinderella - MW awk is probably one of the things that everyone should get. Unremovable shield and 95% refresh on spell cast are both strong utility.

• Guan Yu - Pala or HD. Depends on your playstyle. Pala for counters and HD + vamp rune allows cleanse. Either one, you want her awk 3 skill.

• Teresa - On hit cleanse for higher difficulty content that CC. Downside is that if she herself is stunned, she can't cleanse due to requiring her to attack. Her AW is also strong for buffing mag. (Less useful with maya awk released but thats expensive being a DL awk)

• Theia - Great revive awk unit as well which leaves more fodder for awk a valiant dps unit. Also one of the best atk/crit buffers. Useful in raid in trying to reach cap damage.

• Valerie - Weaker buffer than Theia, but her healing shield can be useful for staying alive longer in Frost Dragon world boss. Has some use in pvp due to stun on awk skill + r4 magic vanity stun. I'd say not a priority at this point compared to someone like Theia.

Story legends: (50 GBM in GBM shop)

• Emiko - Only one worth buying atm. Should be first thing to get in GBM shop.

• Tatiana - May be useful in conquest against wardens, but not in raid 4. Takes too long to ramp up her atk buff though. Better things to use GBM on at this point.

• Others - Fallen out of meta now.

Dark Lords:

• Maya Inq - Good revive unit and likely first DL you want. CC immunity after revive can be useful for raid 4.

• Maya AB - Has some niche. More useful early/mid game. Shield pretty useless later on since nightmare shreds shield.

• Maya AWK - Very strong, but also expensive. Would suggest AB with awk 3 skill to awaken out of all darklords if you only have resources for only one awk DL.

• CoKane RH - Reflect team for PVP.

• CoKane GS - Guaranteed crit has some uses in trigger comp.

• Cass/Zoey - Luxury units, especially in Awk form. Borrow from friend is good enough sometimes. Cass awk is likely 2nd one you would want to make at this point for high damage, but even one DL awk is a reach for average player.

• Odessa - HD class damage reduction has some uses in world boss. Her awk may be promising.

• Odessa AWK - Behind Maya and Cass for DL awakening. Strong choices are HD Awk on spawn or CK Awk skill. On spawn tanks up your whole team significantly right off the bat. Examples are to enable any non-awk hero to fight in arena. Awk skill can also plays similar role in providing protection, but potentially takes more time to come up while also providing stronger defensive buff. Stat buff part can be comboed with onslaught units. There are a lot of other combos of jobs with all 3 of her awk abilities depending on what you really need, but these two will probably be most popular options.

Mythics: (Expensive due to GBM job token requirement, but has awk unit stats level. Not priority for f2p unless you get mats from events)

• Mulan Zerk - Useful for cc immunity in some situations, so good unless you will get maya awk.

• Nezha - A trap at this point. Avoid making her unless you have her AW.

• Ying - CK is an alternative to GY and could be better in situations where you can buff his attack. "Expensive" due to GBM required for job relics. BK form is strong PVP counter unit, but expensive for F2P to make.

• Ghengis Khan - Good in GR for on spawn crit buff and 140% atk trigger. RH can be used for PVP or world boss (due to damage counters). He is kind of a premium unit though (as with any Mythic) so is low on the need to build list.
