NXTUK Questions

I started following NXTUK a few months ago. I love it. I think it is great entertainment. But, probably due to my Mid-West American heritage, I do not understand some of the crowds actions (taking off shoes) or their chants (during the Mustache Mountain vs. The Hunt). Those are for example. There are other chants that I can't think of at the moment.

Usually the shoe off chant is "Shoes off if you hate X"

Generally though from what I can see a lot of them are modified football chants.

In terms of this week's chants though, fuck knows. It was taped in Glasgow, so they could have been saying anything haha

I was at the shows but can't remember half the songs sang. Will need to watch them again to remind myself!

Though I did see a clip from last night's show with Gallus. After Joe Coffey said "Now that 'av goat rid a that helmet" the crowd starting chanting "he's a helmet!"

Being called a helmet ain't a nice thing.

Helmet is Scottish for the head of ones penis.

Indeed. We'll sometimes say that instead of "ya dick". We like a bit of variety every now and then!

Which reminds me, wasn't there a "you're a weapon" chant at the tapings at one point to?

"Shoes off for x" is just a chant for that particular wrestler

Ok. Shoes off for Grizzled Young Veterans. What does that mean?

Term of support.

Not in the case of the GYV. It's "Shoes off if you hate Gibson". So it's everyone taking their shoes off to show their distain at him and Drake.

True but in the case of what OP said it would be support

Funny. Not helpful.

For MM v Hunt, "Ohh Trent Seven Army" is in support of Trent Seven of Mt. Stache. "Big Strong Boy" refers to Tyler of the same.

Thanks.
