I think bungie needs to realize that the reason Whisper and DARCI dominated was because they never introduced a long range legendary weapon with even rometely close DPS

Title, try taking a legendary linear fusion or sniper for DPS alone. I guarantee the damage disparity between those and the DARCI / Whisper is just insane.

Buffs to weapons like grenade launcher are welcome, but bungie NEEDS to realize they will NEVER replace a good long range weapon for DPS. I'm not asking for a legendary linear fusion to out DPS the big hitters. But the DPS those weapons do is just laughable. We're it not the case the heavy slot wouldn't so frequently have an exotic during a raid.
