AITA for being mad

I'm in this group chat with my friend and a couple other people. My friend decides to try and insult me in French. She doesn't speak it or take any classes for it. I'm in French 1 which doesn't say much for my ability to speak but I feel I do ok

My friend says "kk putain" I didn't know what that meant at first, in fact I thought she misspelled Putin, I reply playing along and then she says "lol do you even French? I called you a prostitute". I quick checked it and it is technically the word for whore, No biggy they mean just about the same thing, I reply telling her the exact word is "prostituee" telling the one she used meant whore.

This is were I get kinda annoyed, she brings up screenshots from Google Translate and Urban Dictionary to "prove" I'm wrong. I thought those where not the best/bad sources and referred her to the reference app. She then csays her friend in Quebec told her that not google translate, Ok I thought maybe it's just the whole difference between Canadian French and French thing. Then asked why she posted the pictures of Google Translate and urban dictionary then she said it was just because I was giving her shit for it and that she didn't give a fuck

I said well I speak(my ego was kind of inflated here I'm in French 1 I can't speak that well lol ) European French not Canadian the pronunciations/words are probably just different. She replies idgaf again. Then I told her that she shouldn't insult me if she does know how to speak the language properly. Regret saying that makes me seem really stuck up.

She asks why I'm so offended. I hate it when I try to offer help and someone just blows me off especially if it's on the topic that I'm really passionate about. I guess the other person in the chat at the time was trying to diffuse the the situation by sending memes. One them was about someone losing there shit over a joke.

This just made me feel worse and I said "Ok so we're just going to drop this like everything else fucking love doing that". My friend and I hardly say sorry to each other after a fight kind of just leave it and then pretend like nothing happened I hate doing that but there's no point in starting another fight because of it.

I said my friend if you're going to insult me then do it in English and she gives me the its a joke line. At this point I'm not going to start more of an argument over a stupid joke so I told her that it was stupid and that I'm through talking about it. She replied thank you and that was it. I've calmed down some but this was really annoying.

TL;DR: my friend try to insult me in French but didn't use the exact word I tried correcting her and she didn't listen.
