Moving to new city in August, when to start applying to jobs?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working as a front-end developer at a company in a town I'll be leaving later this year. I'm looking to move into another city, which is only a couple hours away, around mid-August when my lease expires - would June be too early to start applying to jobs?

I'm not sure what the hire timeline is like for most development jobs.

I can't compare it to my current one since it was a very quick hire process since the company is pretty unorganized and I'm basically the only full-time web developer here. No senior devs / mentors, low pay, etc. Not a lot of room to grow here.
