Love seeing this kind of formalized competition. Esp the drone footage since it adds that "sports vibe". I felt the music detracted from it somewhat for me.
Glad you enjoyed it, I definitely want to move towards a sports feel, have worked on some overlays with team names, scoreboards and stuff like that and done some commentary over them, but still a lot to improve on, especially since those take a fair amount of time to do. And thanks for the note on the music :)
Always looking forward to more of your content :)
i enjoyed it and the music :-)

Almost thought it was Beret.. Jeez Jangular and Beret look like brothers
Lol, I never would've thought about that, definitely funny.
I kept trying to figure out why I couldn't bring myself to get further into competitive NERFing, other than competing in the first Ion Rush games at the Detroit Dart Club (and being the reason why no one's allowed to wear steel-toed shoes for competitions...long story). Then it hit me: you know what name I chose for myself, to be put on my DDL team jersey?
Artificer.
I was a LEGO kid, then a miniature mechanic's helper, and now I build small machine parts for a living (which may be about to blend itself into my NERFing hobby, if any HPA fans want to get in touch with me). I've always found more fun in making things, than in doing things with the things I make.
Maybe one day, it'll all make sense, and I'll see what all of the hubbub is about, but for now...I'll keep my screwdrivers handy.
That's an awesome name, and I can totally understand why the modding and creation side of the hobby would be more appealing to you, I love that there's so much for people to do in this hobby and be passionate about :)
All is not entirely lost to me, though: I do try to record as many of the DDC's Humans Vs. Zombies events as I can get to, even though it's all shaky-cam-with-a-smartphone quality...but Ion Rush, as a scavenger by nature AND nurture, just rubs me the wrong way.
I like how CobbaCRAZY and his mad lads over in Australia tweaked the rules to allow scavenging and reloading between rounds; I feel that's how it should be, but as for the original ruleset? Ugh.
I’ve always been interested in participating in a Nerf competition of some sort, but I don’t know if there are any within my state, unfortunately. Definitely have to give this a watch when I’m home and not at work! 👍
What region are you in? Hopefully there'll be one in your area soon enough!
I’m in Massachusetts, but I haven’t heard any news of a war of any sort in the New England area. 😰
I don't have anything on my leagues list in your area, I know there's some things going on in the Northeast in the near future though, specifically an Ion Rush practice day, which I'm hoping will lead to a league in that area, though it may not be close to you. Have you tried starting a group yourself? It can be work and take awhile, but could be what's needed to get nerfing happening in your area!
I’ll have to organize a group sometime soon! I’ve got a couple people here that are interested in Nerf activities, but I’ve got some real life issues to take care of. Thanks for responding, by the way!
Hey jangular. Awesomeness as usual. Almost done setting up a league over here.
Stoked to hear it, have we talked outside of reddit about this? If not I'd love to talk with you about your league and seeing if we can get you setup on the website to track your league standings and all that good stuff!
Yep. Discord. I am Alpha

I'm always looking to share the competitive side of nerfing and the fun that it brings, in hopes it brings more people in to try it. Just want to clarify that despite the name of the video, I love the variety of ways nerf can be played an enjoyed, competitive leagues and events are just one of those ways, and provides an outlet for those that want to be competitive while still enjoying other aspects of the nerf hobby, creating more options for everyone.
I don't often link my videos, but I'm fairly happy with this one, and always enjoy feedback from people on what I can do to improve them!
I will definitely give this a watch when I get home. I will make it to one of your competitive events at some point in the future. I loved watching the game format and field evolve to where it is now.
Would absolutely love to have you at an event! There's both EndWar and Ragnarocktoberfest coming up this year for big competitive events, would love to see you with a team at them! If not you're always welcome at our regular league days as well if you find yourself in the area, just let us know and we can likely find a team for you to run with :)
Was curious if you were planning on playing at FPT during Endwar. Would be exciting to possibly play against you.
I am hoping to be competing at the FPT, I really want to play against as many people from all over the world in tournaments :)
