This view of Tokyo reminded me of the view of the Brisbane CBD from the Valley... anyone else see it?

This view of Tokyo just makes me miss Tokyo even more :(
I was just thinking I need to go back.
Don't let your dreams be dreams!
There are cheap direct Jetstar Dreamliner flights from the Gold Coast to Narita. I picked up a return ticket on sale for under $500 a few months ago including baggage fee, in-flight meal and an extra legroom seat.
What are you missing from Tokyo?
I know how you feel mate. For me I miss the food more than anything. Those egg sandwiches and FamiChiki just can't be beat. It's so hard to find authentic Japanese food at home.
What are you missing from Tokyo?
So much
Density. I can't stand how empty suburbia is.
Transit. Tokyo has incredible transit options. The convenience of the whole experience blew me away. I could truly live my dream of never needing a car if I lived there.
The culture. It just enamours me. So much incredible media, art, etc. Plus the culture of leaving people alone and being clean & respectful makes me so envious.
Even more basic stuff that I probably can't even capture in words honestly. When I went to Tokyo I truly felt at home for the first time.
Felt at home. Disgusting work culture and society stances.
Dude, pick one.
I felt at home as a tourist duderino
With the architecture, general societal values of giving people privacy, and how the city operates. The shitty work and overall culture stuff is explicitly the reason that I wish I could live there, and don't actually plan to.
I wish it was possible to live there without dealing with the awful work shit
I really don't understand why so many people are flipping their lids over my stupid comment
They have lots of English schools in Tokyo too. Some might even be able to teach you to use enamor correctly.
Alright dude forgive me for not being at the top of my grammatical game in a random reddit comment at fuckin 5 in the morning chill
Edit: Also, "enamours" is absolutely a valid form of the word, which that link doesn't list at all. If you're going to be a pedant at least be right about it.
Wait, I don't understand. The definition you linked states:
to inflame with love
Now, my impression was that he used "enamor" as a transitive verb in active voice, whereas it's used 99.99% of the time in the passive voice ("I became enamored with..."). But the definition you linked clearly indicates it as a transitive usage "to inflame".
Also, dunno what Merriam-Webster is on about, but as an American, I'd pretty much exclusively use "with" (never of) with "enamored". Dunno what they're on about with that "of" stuff.
I'm a bot, bleep, bloop. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

It misses you, too. I don’t even live near Tokyo, and not a day goes by that I don’t hear someone openly lamenting the gaping hole cadence_the_sad’s departure has left in their miserable, salaryman lives.
Alright dude I dunno how my comment could have pissed you off enough for you to leave a snarky comment like that. I'm sorry for sharing a comment about how I really loved my time in Tokyo I guess. Clearly I should know better.
Edit: If you're one of those "god I hate weebs" people, know that I'm not blind to what Japan actually is like as a country. I loved my time in Tokyo and would love to live there, but Japanese work culture and general societal political stances there are pretty disgusting and disappointingly conservative.
same could be said for almost any of the modern cities
Having lived in both, I.....I'm not seeing either in it D:
I tried, OP....
Found a comparable image that might help. Obviously not a perfect match, but the skyline of Shinjuku from that angle to me looks similar the skyline of Brisbane from that angle.
Having had that view of Brisbane from my desk in Newstead for years. Yes, a lot.
absolutely not
Comparing Brisbane to any other major city in Australia let alone Tokyo
This is Brisbane, don’t be trying to trick us like that.
