You seem like you are trying to do something similar to my setup. If you are, let me know if you have questions.

More recent pics, sorry for the clutter. Still working on the blue one's enclosure.

Older Pics, but better of how the filament is ran and managed. I do not use the buffer, but would like a way to divide up each path. Still figuring out how I want to divide it, or I want to try to retract it.

Spool holders are on rails, like these. Pass throughs in the center to stop the filament from backing up into the spool, like the prusa spool holders.

I made an updated version to work with more spools.

Seriously man! Ive been searching the web for a month not trying to figure out the best approach to dealing with the MMU2S and you have given me the idea I needed! Thank you for posting this!

This is a view from the top. It's a LACK enclosure with height increased to 60cm to make space for the MMU2 with some to spare. Bottom of the image is the front part with the doors. The middle orange rectangle is the old filament slot used for a single spool.

Now, I want the spools above the printer. For now I will be using the Prusa Buffer and spool holders with rollers, but might print some auto-rewind ones in the future.

What I'd like to ask is the best strategy to pass-through the filament to the inside to minimize kink in the PTFE tubes and make loading easy.

The options I considered are:

Buffer insideBuffer on top
1 slot placed like in the imageBuffer placed where the slot would be with holes drilled at an angle
5 holes with placement like aboveBuffer placed above the old slot with some widening where the tubes would be
2 holes on the left, 3 holes on the right with spools oriented sideways.

I sure hope the descriptions are clear, now which of those placements would you choose, or if you have a better option feel free to share.

Additional constraint would be that I don't want to move the enclosure away from the wall and I can't use the space below the printer, because that's where the PC sits. (Cooler Master HAF XB fits like a glove in there).

I really don't know the set up work for placement but I went under the printer to avoid the kinking

Where is your buffer going?

Back of the enclosure, either on top of it or mounted to the back acrylic wall.

I'm going for a setup in a server cabinet where I have some room behind the printer. I want to organise the spools in a similar fashion, but found this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3338467 to be working really well, eliminating the need for a buffer! let me know how this works out!

Server cabinet is somewhere on my list, I just put together the lack enclosure and just throwing it out would be wasteful. Like I said above I will print the rewinding spools in the coming months. I bounced some ideas off of the Mattermost community and I'm gonna try doing this for now: https://imgur.com/a/wjjBMaU. I'll let you know how it went and hopefully post some photos.
