Apex legends took the gaming community by storm, they dropped a game that was free to play and was seamless considering their opponents. Today’s gaming world want more quicker and faster, let’s be honest, people who have 200 hours on any given game these days are considered POGs. Respawn is doing exactly what they said they’d do. Spend the first battle pass season doing exactly what you should, learn the game. Comparing fortnite or any other battle royal game to apex is comparing your aunt to your uncle, you love them both but their different. The same people that complain about content updates are the same people that don’t realize the drop ship moves 50% faster.. If you’re not a pro, you have no need to crave content updates, stop listening to influencers online, they ARE better than you and have the right to be tired of the game, but you don’t. Your pitchforks turn to sporks. Let the people who created this game do their job, and hopefully bring you a enjoyable experience for years to come.

No, he said apex and Fortnite are different. He wasn't comparing a sequel of the same game.

Apex and fortnite can be compared... Both are BRs... Although they have their own ways of implementing how loadouts work, at the core they are BR games where you kill everyone and be the last team/man standing

If I wanted to farm karma I would just post a bunch of clips of me playing fortnite... but i don’t, I have a reasonable and logical opinion of apex legends. It’s ok if you don’t agree :)

God, I fucking hate this mentality. What you’re saying is if you don’t have X amount of hours played, you can’t complain about the lack of content, which is bullshit. You don’t have to have 10,000 wins to be bored of playing the same game mode on the same map over and over and over again.

Largely agree, but just gonna put this out there - being a professional gamer doesn't automatically make you better than others.

I agree but the professional gamers (that have a media base) hold the influence. When they say a game sucks, everyone jumps on board and shouts “grab the pitchforks” when in reality they haven’t even scratch the surface of a game

I entirely agree, but I've just never liked the whole "Professional gamers are better than you" view so I feel the need to point out :P

People have let them do their job and it’s destroyed the game. Tried to blag it with a road map and they’ve been exposed as way out their depth in the F2P market, when their main opposition is the biggest game in the world.

They’ve obviously moved into more important EA projects and will milk Apex for the remaining crowd for a long as possible with as little effort as they can get away with

They have a dedicated team to Apex more important, the studio on this project, milking apex sure, and they’ll continue to do so, considering the amount of people that still play ;) The roadmap literally shows you what to expect.. you want a hidden gem, “ohhh they’re not telling us everything” “I’m sure there’s more” uh what

They bigged the road map up like it was going to be great, instead of was a crock of shit. Lack of updates, the communication stopped not long after it got popular and it’s just been a classic example of a group of people who don’t know what they’re doing. They had the perfect model to copy in Fortnite, and still managed to fuck it up

If people want to keep comparing apex to Fortnite, just aim them in the direction of how many of apex's game mechanics Fortnite has ripped off...

And coincidentally think about how quickly Fortnite has adopted those features while APEX is still trying to fix the ones it has.

While Fortnite has been around for 2 yrs, had a plethora of issues itself. These things take time. Fortnite BR was a mess when it was first released (i was there) yet everyone thinks apex should be up to par with them upon launch. They are addressing issues, they are fixing issues.

I hope so. APEX has been given a great template (by Fortnite) to work from for what makes a successful Battle Royale game. In my opinion they are not up to snuff. They’ve really shot themselves in the foot with taking so long for the seemingly simply fixes and with the absolute lack of new content.

I actually love APEX (I’m a big Titanfall 1 & 2 supporter as well), but now that I’ve completed the Battlepass for APEX, I just don’t feel like even booting up the game. When I do, I play a game or two and then find myself switching to Fortnite (where I have a lot more to accomplish challenge-wise). I’ve gotten bored of it. It seems repetitive and dull (in my opinion of course).

Fortnite was not a mess when it launched, do you not remember the pumpkin launcher and Halloween event, it was awesome. They ruined the game by catering to noobs and adding useless things every week but they still get shit done and do it right, when they don't they fix it quickly

Yes, I remember. And you're right, they've screwed up catering to noobs. But the pumpkin launcher and said event wasn't launch, it launched around 4 mouths prior. And even at that time they had other major problems(thier biggest being matchmaking, what can make or break a good game).

I don’t disagree that apex is struggling but why are they struggling? They’re compared to fortnite, which shouldn’t be that way. Imagine if apex came before fortnite. Would we be having different discussions? The two games are not not similar other than being free and are battle royals. Even if you compare fortnite and apex, did all the people that quit apex, go to another battle royal or did they just not like the game
