Unfortunately, no but I wish he was.

The reason why Robin Williams is mentioned alot is because of the famous quote:

"Ah, yes, divorce... from the Latin word meaning to rip out a man's genitals through his wallet"

And the fact that he's the ultimate victim of divorce rape and alimony, not once and not even twice but three times which led to his suicide.

I always wonder why he and other people thought getting married again would be a good idea.

I'd argue that he is being cited even MORE for another quote, from nearer the end of his life:

"I used to think that the worst thing in life was to end up alone. It's not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel alone." = -- Robin Williams

I actually think THAT simple statement with no humor or joke; will likely be quoted well into the distant future, when much --perhaps even all -- of the rest of his work will be long forgotten... to the point that his name will possibly be chiefly associated with it; and with most of those who quote it, contemplate it's wisdom & pathos, and hopefully learn an important lesson from it, nevertheless not even really being aware of the context from which he spoke it, nor knowing anything else about him.

It will live on, like the lines "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by..."

Most people know those lines, those snippets... and ponder the concepts they so poetically & eloquently portray; even though many of those same people are likely not familiar with the rest of the poem's words & several stanzas, do not know it's title, the author's other works, nor possibly even his name.

He killed him self because his ex wives divorce raped him and were bleeding him dry.

Very far from it. He's a great example of a good-hearted man destroyed by gynocentrism.

Nope, if he had been MGTOW then he'd probably still be alive... and he certainly would have had a much happier life.

Instead he was basically the opposite of a MGTOW... for all his absurd humor and ability to make others laugh, he was (inside) a very very insecure man... which is what drove him to seek that laughter, as well as perennially seeking validation of his "value" (as if being a highly successful comic & actor wasn't sufficient) from women... including three wives (each of whom not only divorced him, but divorce-raped him); as well as a number of other women who used and abused him for his resources, his status, etc.

More sadly yet... he only fully realized this near the very end of his life... by which point he was so broken and burdened -- quite literally "bankrupted" and heartbroken -- mostly by his relationships with women... that he was unable to see a path back out of the pit he was in.

Thus he is mainly useful as a "warning" for others.

If he was, he'd still be alive.

He was a slave to his ex wives entitlement and a victim of the courts lack of decency or humanity. I swear on this should he have been MGTOW he would not have been a slave and would never have killed himself.
