Will molten glass (borosilicate) stick to stainless steel?

I am doing a science project and need to seal both ends of a glass tube. I could just snip the ends and seal with pliers but would rather round off the sealed ends for a better finished look. My tube diameter is 25mm with a 4mm wall so I was thinking an ice cream scooper would work perfectly to help me round off the ends. Are there metals I should avoid? I'm thinking most scoopers are stainless steel. Thanks in advance for the help.
