Modifying a double critter nation for pet mice?

Hi everyone!

The other day, I saw a video that showed how to escape proof a rat cage.

• Obviously, I'd have to use smaller hardware cloth but would the same method apply?

• Would they be able to escape in the gap between the two doors?

• Have any of you tried it with success?

I'd probably keep a group of female mice in this although it would be so so cool to have one male mouse just dominate this giant mansion.
