[Team-SB] Chapter 8: Reflection
After successfully taking over the outpost and girding themselves in their new disguises, the party took off towards the capital unimpeded. After a fairly uneventful travel, they passed through a town and started to hear rumours of a nearby shrine that tested the power of great warriors and bestowed a blessing to anyone strong enough to triumph the trial. The group was intrigued, thinking it would be useful against the god emperor but decided it was too risky to search for a rumour. They continued their travels some more before a freak landslide drove them off the road and into the nearby valley. Searching for another way around, they walked onto an unstable ledge and triggered another landslide, this time taking all of them with it.
After a few hours, the group had dug themselves out and shaken off the worst of the scrapes and bruises and found themselves in a strange shrine. Looking around they began to hear a sinister voice whispering in their heads.
*Those who seek the trial of power... *
Will find themselves examined…
Are you better than the worst of yourself?...
Unnerved, the group advanced a little further into the shrine and away from the landslide, only to see shadowy tendrils taking the form of themselves.
If you can beat yourselves in a trial of combat, power will be granted.
Objective: Defeat… yourself?
Enemy AI: The enemy will try to mimic you and any strategizes you have used in the past.
Level Ups: For every 3 of yourselves you defeat, everyone will level up.
**Note: Asher and his shade will be able to proc Vengeful Slash on each other. Easton's Shade can only become untargetable for one turn for each unique tile he stays on. Fakir's shade will not be able to use Dark Conviction. Kuki Kuko's shade can only be untargetable for one turn at a time. Marvin's shade's turns will be completely randomized.

Enemy Phase
Kuki's Klone cast Konjurooting on Kuki dealing no damage, but rooting him!
Other Marvin casts terrain modifier, creating a new cliff!
Fakir attempts to cast silence on Fakir! It misses.
Player Phase
Regeneration kicks in healing Marvin for 1 and Fakir for 5!
Soothing Aura activates, healing Fakir for another 5!

Asher delivers a devastating overhead swing that decapitated Marvin's shade. Or at least it would have if it didnt dissipate first.
Entrap Marvin uwu
Entrapped!
Marvin moves to R16 and attempts to hit the other dude by attacking westward.
Marvin's dithering deities accidentally knock over their table in a fight over who to attack, accidentally smiting Kuki's shade for 111 damage!
Marvin levels up!
You know the drill, Anika uses the Final Flash.
Anika flashes for a final time, dealing 97 damage to kuki's shade, removing it from existence.
