Historicity of Joseph of Arimathea, 500 eyewitnesses, and Paul as a former skeptic?

Do we know whether or not Joseph of Arimathea existed, if 500 really swore they saw Jesus, and if Paul really was a Christian persecuting skeptic before his conversion?
