Long retired from MS, new to MSM

Hey! I used to play GMS waaaay back (I was on the first boat to Ossy) and quit back when they released the Cygnus Knight classes.

I used to play a Bowman and an I/L mage, and enjoyed them a bunch, so in MSM I picked I/L. I literally just finished the tutorial and it’s a bit overwhelming. There are a ton of menus, and everything seems so different than I’m used to. My first instinct was to go grind in the slime tree outside the mage town, but I don’t even know if that still exists.

I guess my question is, is there a good resource to read up on everything there is to know about MSM? I haven’t put any SP in since I don’t know what build I should use, and I haven’t really done anything so far. Are there any tips I should know about MSM in general? Or just general leveling/skill guides?
