I need advice and confidence to go completely no contact

I talked to someone for about 6 months and it was the most intense relationship I’ve ever experienced, we spent most days together and talked constantly. Towards the end things got rocky, he mentioned a relationship and then took it back, I told him I couldn’t do this anymore and then took it back. He told me he didn’t think we were compatible and didn’t see us ever being in a relationship, that he didn’t know if he could reciprocate my feelings and couldn’t commit. He put all the blame on me that I was the reason we wouldn’t be together. Eventually I told him he was acting like he didn’t like me and he said I was clingy and we ended it. I reached out after asking if we could be friends and he said I’m good. That broke my heart so I went completely no contact and deleted his number. Two weeks later he asked if we could hook up and I agreed. In the past month we have 3 times. He texts me for sex and when we’re together sometimes it feels like the old times but I know I’m holding on to someone who will never be able to commit. I can’t let go but it seems he can’t let go either, he wants me around for pleasure but doesn’t want anything that we had before. I know he’s seeing other girls and it hurts to think they’re getting everything from him that used to be mine and I’m just getting sex when he wants it. I know it’s only hurting me more and I need to just end it for good but it’s so hard because I still hold out hope that since he’s still reaching out, even if it’s just to “hook up” that a part of him still has feelings for me. I guess I just need advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation on how to just end it and give up on the delusion that one day he will realize I’m the one and want to be with me.
