[Request][Switch] Cuphead

Cuphead can be purchased on Humblebundle and gifted. Unfortunately it currently isn’t on sale so I apologize in advance for that.

Hey, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on this subreddit, so I apologize if this isn’t the most organized request.

I guess I should start with why I’m requesting Cuphead. It basically started with me starting to use eBay at the beginning of the year. Things were going well, I was selling anime statues, figures, and anything nerdy. Unfortunately for me I also sold Steam Keys...

It all went pretty well at first. My experiences were rather smooth and pleasant. That was until I started to sell higher priced Steam Keys. After selling about 20 Steam Keys priced $25-$30 i began to get targeted by scammers. People would receive the codes, and then issue chargebacks through PayPal. PayPal generally sides with the buyer in these disputes, and Seller Protection doesn’t apply to digital items. As if losing the product and the money wasn’t bad enough, each chargeback feel incurred a $20 fee. Within a month I had lost nearly $1000 total between losing the payments and the chargeback fees. PayPal would not help me in the slightest and claimed it was the price of doing business. I’ve pulled everything, physical and digital, off of eBay and have since been trying to move my excess product at a snails pace.

That being said, that isn’t a love letter to Cuphead. And that’s probably what’s more important here isn’t it? I’ve heard of how difficult Cuphead is, and as a Soulsbourne fan, the thought of a challenge excites me. The artist in me can’t help but admire the beautifully hand drawn style of Cuphead that reminds me of the old Betty Boop era of cartoons, along with its dark and twisted appeal. Interesting bosses remind me of Dark Souls, and I yearn for the possibility of beating each one and the thrill and excitement of victory after each battle.

Now, you’re probably wondering why don’t I just ask for the Microsoft version? I mean, I do have a Steam account after all so surely I must play on PC. And you’re correct. I do. However, I wish to play this game with my 10 year old niece. We don’t have too many games to play together, and with me moving out here in a couple of months I’d really love to get in more quality time with her, as she just loves watching me play horror games or playing multiplayer games with me on the Switch when we go to the campgrounds. She’s quit capable at Mario Kart and Mario Party, but to be honest those games are losing their luster to me. And I’d love to see how she reacts to the silly cartoon antics and groans over just how difficult it is. Hope that doesn’t make me a bad uncle lol.

Anyways, I hope for those that read this, even if you don’t Gift me Cuphead, take something away from this post.

1.) Those restrictions on eBay and other sites are there for a reason.

2.) Don’t Sell Digital items. Just don’t.

3.) Even if you go through some sort of hardship, such as a large financial loss...you can get through it. I did and so can you. And know that you’re not alone.
