I am using the stock LG launcher

Important: Make sure to reboot your phone reboot the first time after installing the update, and then a few more(I did it 3 times) and use it for a minute or two between each reboot and before you reboot.

My phone is noticeably snappier. Very noticeably. I had so many random stutters and jank which just seem to be almost completely gone now. Animations seem to be more fluid and really the OS just seems faster all around. It's so nice having almost all the jank gone holy shit.

Seriously all the animations are butter smooth now. What the fuck. Try moving your thumb from key to key on the keyboard, there's zero lag moving from one letter to another.

Pulling up the app drawer is also much faster. There is still lag swiping up from the bottom to access the drawer the first time and, but it is reduced. After pulling up the drawer the first time, it lags *significantly less* pulling up the drawer again.

Same thing with swiping down from the top to access the search bar and other quick shortcuts. Initial lag which is ~33%-50% faster than prior to the update, and then it gets even faster the next time you pull down to access that screen from the home screen.

The fingerprint sensor also seems to be slightly faster and more responsive.

I'm honestly really impressed considering the update notes were so non-descriptive and this seemed like a generic update. But this boosted my phone to be much closer to the performance i expected of a phone with the SD845+ 8 GB of RAM. My phone truly feels like a flagship now. Hoping the next update increases performance even more and completely gets rid of all the stuttering. But this is a huge improvement thankfully.

Edit: Not only all that, but the fingerprint reader is seemingly reading the input all the time except on the homescreen!

I can finally use it as a home button in any app consistently! Before when I was in boost for Reddit, it would exit the app 2-3 times then stop working until I turn off the screen. I just tried it like 15 times in a row and it's working every time in apps.

Unfortunately Fingerprint Quick Action still seems to only be able to use it as a home button once on the the second or third etc. homepage to auto scroll back to the first.

It still does the thing where it stops functioning completely until the phone is locked or an app is opened, then it will work again one single time on a different home screen page until an app is opened or the screen is locked. But it appears to consistently work in apps now, regardless of whether you used it as a home button for the one time use on the homescreen.

The new update i received last night(V10G-HKG-XX for the LG G7+ model EAW) increased the performance of my phone by an incredible amount. Did anyone else notice the change?
