Radeon RX 580 fans aren’t turning on. Help

I just picked up a new RX 580 video card from Microcenter, in hopes to improve my gaming experience. This is my first time installing/changing a video card. The install went fine. I got the proper drivers (i think). My PC recognizes it. One thing i was unsure of was when installing it, was using the 8 pin wire coming from the PSU, thats actually a solid 6 pin with 2 extra pins. Hopefully that makes sense. My PSU is C750W. I did it anyway.

But On start up I noticed the fans on the video card weren’t running, so i did a quick google and saw i could force them to run with After Burner. This worked. But i’m wondering if this is something i should be worried about. Should i go to my storage unit and look for the solid 8pin? does it matter? thoughts?

Edit: they indeed work and are fine. Kind people in the sub let me know it’s normal!
