Purple Wandering Jew Help Please!!!

I thought my pwj was thriving, has been growing beautifully and spitting out lots of new vines. Now each vine has been breaking over the sides of its pot and I'm having to cut them and put them in water to reroot. How do I prevent the vines from breaking?
