Where’s the damn schmediums

So the alternative uniform post got me thinking. Why the fuck is there such a huge size disparity between small and medium acu tops? I am 5’ 10” 175 and small longs are comfortably loose everywhere except my shoulders and arms (rolled sleeves). The mediums are absolutely gigantic on me, it genuinely looks like I’m wearing a poncho. What the hell am I supposed to do if I can’t get them tailored? Just look like I put on my dads uniforms? Or just bust out of my smalls?
