Looking for suggestions for next build - ideally melee/tanky

Hi all, been playing Path Of Exile for a few league (started with Abyss, Bestiary, Delve, Betrayal. My first character was a build with about 4k HP build with aboutl... 4k barrage damage. Super fun but not so viable.

My last character was a HoWA occultist in Betrayal that downed Uber Elder (after a few attempts :))

In between I've played a lot of chaos builds Assassin(barrage/quill rain/thiefs torment) and Slayer/viperstrike. While they were both fun, especially the quill rain build, they felt a little squishy. Also I've done a Occultist ED/Contagion build but the damage kind of capped out and was a limiting factor. All of these i got to about 91-93 before stopping. Lastly, I also did a Toxic Rain build with an 18 ex bow, but felt too squishy to do uber elder even with about 7k EHP.

I'm looking to do a more tanky melee probably physical build this league for a change. I don't really know where to start, but looking for suggestions. Open to either 2H/1H play, but looking for something with high life that can take a few hits. That was one of the nice things about the HOWA build is that I could (for a while anyways) just facetank most bosses including a good portion of uber. I wasn't super geared but about 10k ES so felt decently comfortable. I guess I'm looking for the melee equivalent of that.
