How to extract CBD?

Would I basically just need to gain access to material specifically high on cbd and do my extraction as normal? Is it possible to take X flower and only extract cbd? I'm assuming temperature plays a major role in this. Need as much info as possible, trying to help someone who actually needs cbd for medical reasons. Thank you in advanced for your contributions.
