Insurance costs are too damn high

Hey guys,

Got a a 1987 33 ft boat, trying to insure her. Survey came back clean, and the lowest rates I'm getting are $1800-2000/year. We're in NYC, and the boat is in the Bronx. This is our first vessel, but I have 16 years of experience operating a sailing vessel. Anyone know where to get less expensive insurance, we're leaning towards BoatUS/Geico as they have winter damage coverage, but you know, no brainer to try and save $$$ where you can. Thanks in advance for the advice.
