Pay off a 401k loan or....
I live in a HCOL area and borrowed roughly $47,000 USD from my 401k to help cobble together a down payment. Now one year later, I have the cash to pay off this 30 year loan. The interest rate is 7.5% and the principle and interest payments are paid to me.
The markets “feel” inflated and unstable so I wonder if I’m better off just paying myself the 7.5% return on my loan as opposed to throwing it back in the market via Vanguard Index Funds.
Instead, take that same 47k and pick up an investment property in a LCOL area (I have 2, now).
I’m dumb right?
