Seek overlay keeps popping up (Windows 10, Chrome)

I generally think YTTV is great, but I have this super duper annoying problem: when I do things like pause (usually with a screen tap or bluetooth play/pause on my headphones) or adjust volume, the seek overlay comes up and stays up.

It doesn't go down unless I touch the screen to pause it and touch it again to unpause it. Even then, sometimes it stays up until I do this several times, and sometimes it goes down then comes right back up.

Anyone have any idea as to how to fix this?
